Bengali fonts appear too small in your browser?

with one comment

Now this is for all those people who like to visit Bengali sites on the net, or those who maintain sites/blogs in Bengali. If bengali fonts appear too small, especially on Windows, it is because of the default Bengali font on Windows, ‘Vrinda’. Now there are several other better Bengali unicode fonts available, and to fix this problem, you have to just set your browser to use some other font instead of Vrinda to display bengali content.
Here’s how to do it:

1)On IE:
Tools -> Internet Options -> Fonts. Select “Language script” as Bengali and select your default Webpage font. You can also see the preview under it.

2)On Firefox:
Tools -> Options -> Content. In the “Fonts and Colors” section, click on Advanced. In “Fonts for” , select Bengali, and then you can choose the default fonts for “proportional”,”serif”,”sans-serif” and “monospace”.

You can find a pack of alternative Bengali unicode fonts from here.
